Sonoma Cider Tap Takeover! Drinking their Pitchfork (Pear) Cider ... courtesy of Evan who remembered me from their tasting here in April. Their ciders are all pretty tasty. All are also made with Champagne yeast. The Pitchfork (Pear) Cider is 6.0% ABV, and has a bit of a nutty flavor to it. The Anvil is their Bourbon / Apple Cider, and the third cider in their line is The Hatchet, which is a fruit forward Apple Cider.
Tonight I also got to taste a special release of Sonoma's Extra Dry Cider, which they brought out in a giant magnum bottle. Definitely dry, and bubbly, and I enjoyed it, although I'm not usually a huge fan of very dry ciders.
Finished off the evening with a Swift Cider - Wholesome Apple. This producer was formerly known as The Outcider, but apparently had competition for the name and have picked a new name. Very light and refreshing.
