Another Cider Week tasting at Bushwhackers Cider. Tonight Bull Run Cider brought out five of their ciders for people to taste. The flight started with their Powerhouse Dry Cider, made with English Bittersweet apples and American Heirloom apples. Next up came the Bramble Berry Dry Cider. This delicious deep red colored cider is made with Boysenberries, Blackberries and Marionberries. Their Gravenstein Style Varietal Medium Dry was the third cider available to taste. Fourth came the Creekside Cranberry Perry , made with fermented pears and backsweetened with cherry. Last and most certainly not least on the list is their Pear Wine. This is one of those rare ciders that can be likened to the nectar of the gods!
I found out from the folks offering the tasting that Bull Run will be opening their own tqp room in Forest Grove near Pacific University in August. It's always great to hear of morecider options opening nearby. Might make a perfect day trip with a picnic thrown in for Portland folks.!
