A friend was passing through town after visiting family elsewhere in the state. I did some calling around to find a place that would be open on Independence Day and was not too far from Portland International Airport (PDX) so that my friend could easily make it to the airport on time and drop off the rental car before departing.

I picked the McMenamin's Mall 205 location, as they were open and serve a variety of McMenamin's brews, wines and distilled beverages. To my suprise, I found out that they had their Pomegranate Cider on tap. I had to try it, of course! It was pink tinged but mostly golden in color, and you can easily smell the pomegranate and the apple scents. It is fruity, crisp and effervescent, and very tasty!
