Cider Notes: Half-Pint Cider Distributing Tasting, they served at Basque Sheep’s Milk Cheese to accompany the ciders.
Fanjul Sidra Natural. Spanish Cider aged in chestnut barrels. Still, not sparkling.
Riestra – Asturias Spanish Cider. A still cider, aged in chestnut barrels, with a sweet fruity nose.
Troy 2012 Cider – made in Sonoma and aged in 22 Pinot Noir barrels. Made with heirloom, wild, scavenged apples. This is a cloudy cider of 7.7% ABV that does no racking during the aging process.
Troy 2013 Cider – made in Sonoma and aged in 28 Pinot Noir barrels. Made with heirloom, wild, scavenged apples (90%) and pear/quince (10%). This is a cloudy cider of 7.7% ABV that includes pommace.
Bushwhackers Newberg Scrump Cider, 6.7% ABV, deep cloudy golden brown color, sour nose and a tart taste.
Reverend Nat’s Providence Traditional New England Cider, 10.9% ABV. This is an apple wine with a deep amber color, combined with raisins and spices.
